Tire recommendation for '87 BMW 325is

I’m looking for replacements for 195/65R14 Michelins.  I know Pirelli
is recommended by BMW, and I have heard some good things about the new
P4000, but I was looking for something that also handled well on wet
surfaces (since the car is so light in back).  Just for kicks, I tried
looking for Goodyear’s Eagle AquaTreds in my size.  No go.

Any recommendations?

You could probably get by with some 235/40 17" Pirelli P-Zero’s.  AC
Schnitzer makes 18" wheels for your car also.

A 205/60 is a more popular size and is the same height. I stay away from
the Pirelli, I had so many problems with the original’s on my 1990 325i.
    I like the Michelin better.

The Pirelli P-Zero’s are much better than the all season Pirellis
that you received with your car.  IN addition, if you’re worried about
performance at all, something that approximates the size of a 235 or
245/40 with 17" or 18" tires would be more appropriate.  AC Schnitzer and
Racing Dynamics make decent wheels for your car.
