Hi,
In the ticket for the Indiana Toll Way there is a notice saying that if the
ticket is lost or more than 12 hours old, the maximum fare will be collected
(and I think from the further end of the tollway.)
Can someone explain why there is a time limit?
Thanks.

I suspect it’s to keep you from scamming on the tolls. Think about it a
while and you ought to be able to come up with a way to do it (hint: you
have to eat a max fare toll first).

Spoiler
Hey, I never thought of that. Too bad they did. You drive from one
end to the other, taking a hit of the max fare toll (which presumably
your trip came close to anyway). When you drive back, you get off one
exit short or past your destination, and pay a very small toll.
