        Any half-decent tire shop will set you up correctly.  Things to
check when buying wheels are wheel offset, hub centricity, and overall
diameter.  In the Civic’s case, going from a 185/60-14 to 195/50-15, there
is a very small change in overall diameter.

        I am not sure what you mean by "custom" rims, but they are not stock
Honda rims.  The Civic Si comes with stock 14" steel rims and 60 series
tires.  The wheels I had were 15" with 50 series tires.  Significant
improvement in handling.  K&N does make an air filter that replaces the
standard paper filter, however I removed the whole air box and used a big
cylindrical filter in its place.  HKS is a Japanese company that makes a
number of high performance parts.  The exhaust is a catalytic converter back
system that reduces back pressure and is good for about 7-8 hp.

I believe the Momo rims were 15" compared to the stock steel 14" on the
Si.  He was also using 50 series tires … yep should improve the overall
handling quite a bit.  The only custom rims I’ve seen made for the
Hondas (Civic & CRX) are racing rims made by Mugen.  Ugly.. but they
provide good ventilation to the brakes and don’t crack under pressure
