Please cut your driver’s licence in half, surrender it to the next
police officer you find, and take the bus!!

No, I live somewhere else! (very lucky in this case)

Did you buy your license from someone? It would explain some things…

No, I consider the owners of the cars that you ran in to unlucky.  You’ve
had your license for for 2 whole months and you still can’t park without
    hitting something!

I wouldn’t be suprised.  Most newbie drivers tend to do that.
Basically, all newbie drivers know four things, brake, turn, accelerate, and
    back-up.

I’d go right back to Sears and get another license! This one is obviously

Actually, all three were hit in the bumper… Anyway, I know people who have

Will you guys lighten up?? Jesus, somebody leaves a message that
is supposed to be anecdotal and suddenly everybody and their best friend
has to flame him for just learning to drive.  Oh, I forgot, I’m sure
everyone who left a nasty reply has never bumped or rubbed anyone before
and probably has decades of F1 race experience or runs their own race
school.  Give me a break.  Try to help someone or offer advice rather
than getting angry that somebody is driving on your precious roads.

How do you people get your licence?  If you can’t parallel park in my
neck of the woods you don’t get one… especially if you bang another car!
I am very concerned about my driving skills and decided for my safety and
others that I did not need my licence till I was 21… and that is
when I took defensive driving because I felt it was my responsability
to not damage myself or or others if it was at all possible!  I am now
24 and accident free… Shame on you!!! Take responsability for your actions!!
If I ever catch you banging into my car I’ll wring your neck!!!

    Justine

PS A bang on the bumper can cost you big!! It is NOT something to shrug
off lightly.  There was an incident here where a gentleman ( approx 30 yrs old)
lighty tapped the back of a lady’s ( approx 50 yrs old) car when stopping at a
light.  The Lady jumped out of her car screaming and crying because her family
had all been killed in a rear end collision when she was young.  She had
been the only survivor and this rear end bump 40 yrs later caused her to lose it
completely!  The gentleman ended up paying her $180,000 for emotional damage.

Ignorance is bliss until someone get hurt!!!  Please, if you don’t take
responsability now, you will be forced to take responsability when the
accident you have is more serious than a bump!!

I don’t think that the guy in your story was served with ‘justice,’ except
for the justice that comes of living in "America-land of the stupid

Nonetheless, I agree entirely-drive safely, learn everything you can, (and

That’s why I have 1/2" track shoe spikes on my bumper.  I don’t care if it’s
a slight bump when people park, just hate it when the paint gets all
scratched up.  The most annoying thing is when idiots park and leave their
    bumper against mine.

Actually Colin this accident occured in Vancouver BC. ( At least I was
told about it at Young Driver’s of Canada ). BC, home of Big
Brother Insurance corp (ICBC) that collects protection money from all
    us poor BC Residents *sigh*.

I am glad you agree that safe driving is a responsability that should be taken
seriously by all those that have the freedom ( and money!!! ) to drive.
BC is working on making retesting manditory and adding defensive driving skills
to the test.  I can’t wait!  Imagine how much that is gonna lighten up the
    traffic in the Vancouver Area.

I have one piece of advice for this person, BE CAREFUL AND PAY ATTENTION TO
WHAT YOU ARE DOING. It’s as simple as that.

Actually we’re not angry at all if someone drives in our precious road.
We’re happy about it and encourage everyone to do so.
But we’re very angry if someone bumps and damages our precious cars!!
