Corrado SLC advice

I am thinking of buying a ’94 or ’93 Corrado SLC. Does anyone have any
comments/experiences with the car? Please post or mail to j…@bcvms.bc.edu

Thanks!
Raj

A friend of mine has one and he loves it!  As a passenger and a driver now
and then I can say it is an incredible car.  Only prob is the car is
    kinda close on interior space…

Make sure you can live with the mouse-belts!

Also, the rumor is that 94 is the last year — with the GTi VR6 due
next year, the Corrado will no longer be imported.

Keep an eye on the "Top Five Cars Ever" item, there has been a *heated*
debate over the Corrado VR6 and Toyota MR2 Turbo for a few weeks now.
As I wrote the article in the first place I’ll reiterate my
opinion. Buy the Corrado VR6 every time and enjoy it!!

              Yours,

                     Will.

No!  Buy an MR2 Turbo!  It kicks the Corrado’s BUTT!

Sorry, Will.  The "Top 5…" thread died, so I hadda add something here. ;)

First, I do not think you pay tax as a seller. It is your brother who pay tax.
Maybe your local law is different.

Some states praise your car according to your car’s year, model, milage, etc., and
charge the tax based on the value they determine. So whatever value you say
really does not affect the tax you will pay. Some other states would
charge tax according to the actual sales receipt. The cheaper you write
the less you pay. But I would not write a ridulous(sp?) low value (say $1).
I would write no less than half the actual value.

So check with your state’s vehicle registration office first.

Sales tax regulations vary from state to state, as others have explained.
    I
GAVE a car to my nephew, and he told the Department of Motor Vehicles the
truth, that it was a gift.  They did not charge him sales tax, but he did
have to pay the usual license fees.

    Good luck!
