Has anyone tried the Skip Barber BMW Driving School? I’ve only heard about it
but I don’t really know what its about and what its like? Is it worth it?

I live very close to Sears Point so it would be pretty convienient for me….

I took the 1-day Skip Barber Advanced Driving School at Lime Rock Park in
Connecticut a few years ago.  Highly recommended.  I wish I has the $$ to go
again, and for the 3-day version.  In the one day class, they teach threshold
braking, skidpad usage, and a lot of technique on an autocross course.
Excellent instructors, and you get to toss around someone elses BMW M3s.
I had a blast and I plan to take my daughter to a "Skippy school" after she
learns to drive (in about 12 years ;) .  They also have a series of racing
schools, but the Advanced classes are more practical and useful.

How expensive is it? And what more do they teach you in the 3-day version?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to ask THEM? All you have to do is to ask the
    800 directory for Skip Barber’s toll-free number.  But because I’m a nice
guy (and I liked the school), I’ve done that for you. Call (800)
221-1131. Don’t forget to dial 1, before the number.
    Good luck,

I’ve done the 1 day BMW advanced driving school and it was one of the best
day’s of my life. Starting from the skid pad  to the mini race that you do
at the end of the day! Just one thing to remeber "Relax, your not trying
to prove anything to anyone." (from Ducky Waddle at Skip Barber) and
    remember it’s not your car
