Folks,
I was unfortunate enough to get two speeding tickets last week. One of them
was at a speed trap on San Antonio road. The other one was on Highway 101
and the cop gave me a ticket even though he did not follow me for 1/2 a mile.
I am planning to get an attorney for atleast one of them. I know about the
"Nolo press" book and will use that if the attorney is too expensive.I wanted
recommendations for attorneys who take on these kind of cases and if possible
the amount they charge for their services.
I remember hearing (on the Net) about an attorney in San Francisco who deals
exclusively with these kind of cases and is quite good. Could you please
email your responses to me and if there is a demand I will post a summary
about the info I collected.

Wayne Bruce Albin in Piedmont defended three of us against the CHP for
a "cargo net" operation in Marin. We got off – certainly wouldn’t have
without a lawyer. He did a good job. Cost each of us (3) $200.
I think he works a large part of the bay area; you’ll have to talk to him
to get details. Do I reccomend him? You bet!

Dan Barton of Nolan & Armstrong was able to keep me from going to
prison when the Palo Alto Police Force/DA’s office collaborated to
send me away for doing 60 in a 35 on Central Expressway.
I think he’s quite good, but doesn’t like to do too many of these
cases.
