Acura Integra LS

Thanks to all those out there who sent me advice on the Altima, Civic SI
and the Integra. I drove all, and bought the Intgra. It’s hard to believe
that the civic and Integra are made by Honda, the fit and finish was so
much better than the civic. Both are great but the Integra was better for
me. In Canada there is a big difference between the two.

Hmm…  Where was your Integra built?  Most Civics come from Ohio or
Canada, but I’m not sure about the Integra (check the VIN, ‘J’ is Japan,
’1′ is U.S., ’2′ is Canada)(If you already knew that, no offense
    intended. Some people don’t).

I sure hope the manufacturer origin is not the difference. I thought we
    were catching up.

Then again, the Integra sells for quite a few more $$ than a Civic, no?

Oustide of northern America, Honda has not tried to market the Integra as under
the name Acura. I have seen Honda Integras in both Europe and Japan cruising the
streets (it is an internationally popular car). I believe that most integras are
built overseas but I really don’t think this is why the Integra has a better fit
and finish. Most of the honda cars sold in America are assembled in the Mid West
(Ohio etc.).  The integra is a bit more expensive than the Civic but worth it.
Acura has always prided itself on putting out a product that is a touch above
    the Honda line.

Acura has anounced that they will be releasing 3 new models of cars within the
next few years. (Perhaps a medium-high priced sports car to compete with the
Supra and the Rx-7 (who knows)) Honda also sells a lot of Vans and Trucks over-seas.

I’m sure you will be in for a long term relationship with your integra. That motor
NEVER stops as long as you feed it oil and gas. My first generation integra has
150,000+ miles on it and is still running strong. The lastest model integra has
been greatly refined since then and should work even better.

    Enjoy ..

My ’87 Integra has 135,000+ (50,000+ within the past year and a half :-) )
and, knock on wood, it has never once broken down for any reason….

But of course, part of that could be my semi-anal
    maintenance of it… :-)
