The BBC news here in the UK has just carried a report about police
requests to ban a speed-radar jammer imported from the US. Adverts
for this device appear to claim that it uses some sort of reflective
antenna which mixes a "chirp" signal with the radar to confuse the
police equipment.

Has anyone out there any experience of this kit, either in the UK or
the US? Or has anybody seen any reviews or news articles concerning
it? I’d like some idea of how well it actually works to figure out
whether I should rush out and buy one before they ban it!

Hi! Just a couple of questions about air filters changes

Whats the difference between a normal air filter and one from K&N? Is the
K&N air filter significantly better (or no difference!) ? And lastly, will i
get any performance gain if i were to change to a K&N filter??

According to an article in the paper recently:

Police have been issuing far fewer traffic tickets than 5 years
ago, because they’re concentrating on more serious crimes.

The number of accidents and deaths is also way down.

Insurance companies are concerned because they’re getting a lot
less surcharge money.

I just got done reading this month’s issue on the new GTI VR6 in C&D.  
0-60 in 6.7sec!!  Handling is supposed to also be excellent and the ride
much like a sports car.  The one thing that I can’t figure out is what
the hell is up with the headlights being on and burning at 90% during the
day to meet some stupid Canadian law!!??!  And if that’s not enough, you
have to turn on the headlights manually to get the extra 10% after
dusk!!  What….are the people STUPID?  Can they not simply turn on the
lights when they choose or are required to by themselves?!!  Doesn’t this
also diminish the life of the headlights….which is not part of the 10
year 100,000 miles warranty?
