Here the moto-coppers sit in front of stalled cars on the highway and
get you if you go past too fast and dont see them…

Also, they "troll"…The troll sits off the hiway, on a bridge or on
Frontage road and radio your speed to a H/P or other city cop on down the
hiway…

Road Trip Planning Software

Are there any software programs on the Internet to help in planning a
cross-country roadtrip?  Specifically I’m looking for something which I
input my home city and destination, and the program outputs a list of
interstates to take to get there.  I have a PC to run this on.

Thanks!

Luis

== TO: 1992 HONDA CIVIC OWNER ==

Do you guys have a problem with pinging?
I brought the car to dealer to be checked.
They said it was fine, all I need to do is
to get a better gas.
The pinging occurs on 2nd and 3rd gear mostly.
But when the engine is cold, it rarely happens.
What’s wrong here?
I am currently using Chevron regular unleaded
with 88 octane. The manual says that the car
should use gas with higher than 86 octane.
Should I use ‘supreme unleaded’. Will it do
any good?

I really need your help since pinging will
shorten engine’s life, right?!

Thanks in advance.

What's the Problem?

Dear Netters,

I have a 87 Chevy Cavalier. One months ago, two of the three engine mounts were
bad and I had to take it to the dealer to replace them. Prior to that, the car
just ran fine. Since then, it shakes whenever I came to a stop if the gear was in
drive, but it does not shake if I shift it to neutral (automatic transmission).

Another problem which has developed recently is that when the car is warm,
it makes some squeezing (sp?) sound while making a turn or on uneven surface.
When it is cold, it is fine.

I took it to the dealer and they could not find the problem. Any ideas?

   Thanks.

Synthetic Gear Lubricant

I just bought a ’94 Mustang Cobra, it has a Borg-Wagner 5-speed
.  Is it okay to use Redline Synthetic Gear lubricant in the
transmission and if so how long should I wait to change the
original (Is their a breakin period for the transmission)
Thanks

jetta vs civic

To whom it may concern:

Hello…I was just wondering if someone can post comparative
statistics between the Jetta (GL,GLS,GLX) against the Honda
Civic (EX).

Any information would be much appreciated.
And any info I should consider when I lease either of the cars

Thanks

Question about Headlight Modification

Gall’s, a company that sells public safety equipment, advertises a product
that consists of blue halogen bulbs attached to a flasher assembly, etc.
The idea is that you put these blue flashing bulbs inside your headlights
and then when the switch is activated, you have flashing blue (or red or
yellow) light coming out of your headlight on top of the normal white light
from the regular bulb.

My question is this: How are these bulbs installed in the headlights?  Would
you have to drill through the back of the headlight to put these bulbs in
there?  The catalog mentions something about a 1-inch hole in the headlight…
But I opened up the car and looked at it, and it would seem that I would have
to drill through GLASS to make a hole in the assembly.  Is that how these bulbs
are supposed to be installed?  If not, how else might they be installed?

Thanks for any light anyone can shed on the question.

Tire air pressure?

Hi, I’m a new driver, please forgive my having little knowledge about driving.
A few days ago I got an 88 Sable, no owner’s manual came with it. From the
sticker on the door, the recommended pressure for the tires is 35 psi. I used
a gauge and found that the pressure in one tire was about 48 psi, while in
another one was about 20 psi. My question is, should I put air to exact 35 psi
and is it safe at near 50 psi? I will appreciate your help very much.
